A raid on a room at the Howard Johnson Hotel in Toms River yields at least 30 bricks of heroin, $11,800 cash, and four suspects.

Shane Roberts, 28, and Sherita Brown-Roberts, 35, both of the same address in Brick Township, are being held in the Ocean County Jail in Toms River following the Thursday arrests.

Bail for Shane Roberts was set at $300,000, and bail for Sherita Brown-Roberts was set at $175,000.

Also charged are Christine Sudanom 31, of Lakewood, and Joan Sudano, 56, of Brick.

Toms River Police Chief Mike Mastronardy says that members of the department's Special Enforcement Team entered the room on the strength of an authorized warrant.

They report finding 1513 wax folds of heroin with a street value of roughly $15,000 and 16 grams of cocaine in addition to the cash.

Shane Roberts and Sherita Brown-Roberts are charged with possession of heroin, possession of cocaine, possession with intent to distribute each in amounts higher than a half-ounce.

Joan Sudano was charged with possession of heroin and possession of Suboxone. Christine Sudano is charged with heroin possession. They were released on summonses.

The TRPD Special Enforcement Team reports that so far in 2013, it's seized more than 14,000 bags of heroin, with an estimated value of $140,000.
