Forked River Father and Son Face Crack Charges

A father and son from Forked River land in Ocean County Jail in Toms River after investigators find crack cocaine and heroin in their house.

Willie Alexander Jr., 48, and Willie Alexander III, 24, are charged with possession of less than a half-ounce of heroin and cocaine, and possession with intent to distribute the drugs. Superior Court Judge Damian Murray set bail for each at $50,000, with no option for release on payment of 10 percent.

A source close to the probe tells WOBM News that the Alexanders were the target of a continuing investigation into Ocean County drug activity.

Members of the county Prosecutor's Special Operations Group and Lacey Township Police executed a search warrant Tuesday at the Oakwood Drive dwelling. Investigators say they seized eight bags of crack, five doses of heroin and $14,302 in cash.

Members of the Ocean County Southern Regional SWAT Team, and a county K-9 team also took part in the search.
