Ford Soon Headed Back to the Bench

Ocean County Prosecutor Marlene Lynch Ford could be headed back to the bench. According to Toms River Patch.com, Governor Chris Christie filed a notice of intent to nominate Ford for another Superior Court Judgeship post. Toms River Attorney Joseph Coronato was nominated to become the new Ocean County Prosecutor .. replacing Ford who's appointment expired in June 2012 after being appointed to the post by former Governor Jon Corzine. However, Ford continues to serve as Prosecutor until her replacement is confirmed by the State Senate. She too also awaits Senate consideration.

Ford served as a State Superior Court Judge in the Ocean County vicinage before becoming Ocean County's top law enforcement official.
