Nonpersible food donations continue to pour into libraries and county buildings in Monmouth County as part of its month long food drive. Officials say up to five tons of food has been collected as part of the "Food for Fines" program. The drive has entered its final stretch with just one week to go. Items can be donated at all13 branches of the county library system as well as county facilities until the end of April.

The food drive is part of a long list of activities that have been taking place in the County in recognition of National County Government Month.  All the proceeds are headed to the Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties.
