For the first 5 years I had a Mommy Blog about my daughter Abby’s life and what it was like for me as a first time Mommy.  Well now she’s a  7 year old Diva and I’ve decided to bring back the Mommy Blog.  Her life and what she does is just so funny, it’s too funny not to talk about or write about!  It’s time to share our adventures with you again.

Road trip, road trip, road trip in 3 days!  It's going to be a long one for Abs!   We're going to Florida with Nanny and Poppy and now as we get closer and closer to our trip...I'm thinking, "Was is it a smart idea to think we could all do a road trip"?  I believe after looking at the map it's going to be about 18 hours to Disney from New Jersey.

Back in May when I was booking our vacation, I was wouldn't it be great to all be in the car together and check out great things along the way.  But here's what I realize as we get closer --I'll be in a car with 2 76 year olds and a 7 year old.  "Are we there yet", will be a whole new meaning after this trips over.  I'm sure there will be lots of bathroom stops so that pushes it back to about 19 1/2 hours.  The bittersweet part of the this vacation is the sad fact that it could be one of the last for my parents, so for that reason, we will be making memories--no matter how long it takes us to get there!

We'll be taking cards, the DVD player, the little game system thingy and somewhere in there pillows and blankets for sleeping along the way.  And of course the Alphabet game, have you ever played it, I'm going to Disney and I'm taking....and start with an A.  It's a fun little game that will take all of about 20 minutes of the road trip.  Abby always laughs at Poppy because sometimes he forgets what the person said before him.

I'll be sure to take some pictures along the road and keep you up to date on how the road trip is going!  Let's just hope everyone stays healthy.  That's the most important!

What are some great ideas you can give me for a "long" road trip?  Where did you go on your last road trip?
