Firefighters battled a blaze in Beachwood on Atlantic City Boulevard during Wednesday night's lightening storms, according to reports.

A vacant home caught fire around 9 p.m., according to the Riverside Signal. The home consists of two connected structures, one from the 1920's and the other from the late 1950's. The property is slated to be demolished, pending approval from the Borough to allow a commercial business to go there.

There's no word yet on the cause of the fire.

Fire companies from Beachwood, Pine Beach, South Toms River and Berkeley Township responded.
