Firefighters found a body inside a Wall Township home after a stubborn, multi-alarm fire on Sunday afternoon.

The fire  in a two-story home on Allaire Road forced the closure of Route 34 at the Allaire Road circle around 12 noon as it went to two alarms and firefighters attempted to search the home according to NJ.com.

An autopsy will be performed on the body to make positive ID, Relatives tell the Asbury Park Press they  believe it's 76-year-old Marion Newman.

FIrefighters were impeded by heavy smoke and clutter inside the house. Firefighters were also pushed back by flames as water was poured on the two-story home.
