A fire truck carrying members of the Whiting Volunteer Fire Department crashed into a parked car while responding to an alarm at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church on Lacey Road Sunday, according to Manchester Police.

No one was injured authorities said when an occupied vehicle in the church parking lot was struck shortly before 8:30 a.m. The fire truck sustained minor damages to its driver's side, while the car sustained extensive damage to the rear passenger side.

The owner of the car was notified of the crash when he left church services, police said.

The crash is under investigation by Patrolman Paul Bachovchin of the Manchester Police Traffic Safety Section.
