Fire Destroys Toms River Mobile Home

An early morning fire destroys a mobile home in Toms River.

The unit in the Friendly Village mobile home park off of Route 70 burst into flames after 1 o'clock this morning. No one was injured as no one was home at the time of the blaze.

"We haven't been able to locate or contact the homeowner yet," Pleasant Plains Fire Chief Brian Doyle told the Patch of Toms River. "We did do a primary and secondary search of the unit."

An investigation into the cause is underway.
