Fire Destroys Freehold Borough Home
A Freehold Borough family loses their home to a violent fire Friday.
Freehold Patch reports approximately 45 firefighters battled the blaze, which took about two and a half hours to completely extinguish.
The fire started around 4 p.m. at a two-story residence on McLean Street, while the family was still inside. The family got out safely, but the house is uninhabitable.
One firefighter was injured and was treated and released from CentraState Medical Center in Freehold.
The Monmouth County Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
