Fire at NJ Natural Gas Facility in Downtown Toms River

Some scary moments in Downtown Toms River Sunday when flames started shooting from several pipes at the New Jersey Natural Gas Facility at 322 West Water Street shortly before 9 a.m., according to Toms River police.

The blaze forced the closure of Garden State Parkway Exit 82, as well as Water Street and Highland Parkway, including the access road to the Bus Terminal for about 90 minutes.

Authorities have not said what caused the fire.
