Find Out What City Tips The Best

Tipping is a topic that I like to come back to every now and then because I think that it will always spark discussions. Recently, a poll came out of the US cities that are the best for tipping. What would you guess made the top of the list?

Unsurprisingly, most of the cities on the list are major metro areas where there are a lot of dining options and a lot of money to go around.

Interestingly, though, a couple smaller cities, like Portland, ME and Milwaukee, WI also made the list. Maybe those cities just have a more generous population.

But, back to the top cities, coming in at #1 - New York City.

I have to say, this partly surprises me - on one hand, there are a lot of people in NYC with a lot of disposable income, so it would make sense that generous tips are common. But, The City is also a tourist haven, where visitors may not be used to the prices and service on offer.
