Father and son among four heroin suspects arrested in Manchester
An Ocean County father and son, and two more suspects, are arrested in a probe of suspected heroin ring in Manchester Township.
James P. Gnatowsky, 44, of Toms River; James S. Gnatowsky, 23, of Lanoka Harbor; Rocco Scalzo, Jr., 48, of Manchester; and Kellyann M. Lomberk, 36, of Whiting, face possession and distribution charges lodged late Thursday by township police.
All four were placed in the Ocean County Jail in Toms River in lieu of bail.
Members of the Narcotics Enforcement Team (NET) converged on a Crestwood Village house with a search warrant, fed by complaints about possible drug dealings around the Amesbury Road dwelling.
Police say they uncovered 149 doses of heroin, evidence of distribution, drug-related items and more than $3,000 cash.
Bail was set at $50,000 each for James P. Gnatowsky and Lomberk, $25,000 for James S. Gnatowsky, and $15,000 for Scalzo.
NET was aided by the MTPD investigations and patrol bureaus and its K9 squad.
