The Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office says 36 year old Desiree Moore was driving northbound on Colts Neck Rd. in Howell, when she ran through a flashing red light at the intersection of Colts Neck Rd. and Rt. 33, and struck two vehicles.

Moore was driving her 15 year old daughter and 7-month old son, who were not restrained by seat belts or a car seat.

Police say alcohol was a factor in the June 15th collisions.

Moore is being charged with aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of a child, and assault by auto.

She was also charged with several motor vehicle infractions, including driving while intoxicated and unlawful possession of an open container of alcohol.

Moore is being held at Monmouth County Correctional Institution on $100,000 bail.
