ATLANTIC CITY — A homeless, heroin-addicted sex worker who is believed to live under the boardwalk is missing and may be in trouble, her worried family says.

Police in Winslow on Wednesday issued a missing-persons alert for 26-year-old Tegan Vaughn.

Her father contacted police because Vaughn stopped her daily postings on Facebook on Dec. 3. Her family only communicates with Vaughn through social media.

Police in the resort city say they have not been in contact with Vaughn.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts should call Winslow police Det. Mitchell at 609-567-0700 ext. 1195.
