Wig Thieves Surrender

Two women wanted for stealing $250 worth of wigs surrendered to Lakewood Police Tuesday after seeing their photo on Facebook, according to Township authorities. 

Within hours of posting the photo of the suspects, several concerned citizens called police to identify them, but before authorities could gather their addresses, one of the women surrendered.

18-year-old Jakiera Randolph of Jackson told Officer Lynn Miller she was aware her photo was on Facebook. A short time later, the second suspect, 19-year-old Kadija Diawa of Toms River also surrendered, saying she too was aware her photo was circulated on social media.

Both women were charged with shoplifting and later released.
