Explosions Could Reverberate Through Ocean County Tuesday

Those who live near Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst are used to the booms produced by the Explosive Ordinance Team's training exercises, but weather conditions could make the explosions carry even further than normal this Tuesday.

As the base's Facebook page notes, cloudy conditions like those expected tomorrow can make the sound carry further than normal and sound louder than usual.

It'll be going on all day long tomorrow, too, with booms possible from as early as 8am to as late as midnight.
