A onetime NJ Transit supervisor from Jackson faces up to 10 years in prison for taking an $8,000 bribe to arrange a contract with the agency for a Lakewood company.

Donna Schiereck, 56, pleaded guilty today in Newark, according to the office of New Jersey U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman, and also risks a fine of up to $250,000 at her September 9 sentencing.

According to investigators, Schiereck agreed to exert her influence to secure a deal for snow plowing, and added free power-washing services for herself as a condition.

Prosecutors have not identified the company that agreed to the payoff.
