Everything You Need To Know For Today’s Polar Bear Plunge in Seaside Heights
Special Olympics New Jersey is hosting their annual "Polar Bear Plunge" today.
When: Saturday, February 25th
Where: Beach in Seaside Heights
Time: 1 p.m.
Weather Forecast: Clouds and temps in the mid 50's (Chance of afternoon rain)
Ocean Water Temp: 44 degrees
Traffic: Look for delays due to construction in the area.... there is ongoing construction work on the Thomas A. Mathis Bridge - which is restricting travel to just one eastbound travel lane and two westbound travel lanes on the adjacent J. Stanley Tunney Bridge.
It's a tradition and thousands in Seaside will be “freezin’ for a reason” today, as they run into the ice cold Atlantic Ocean in support of NJ Special Olympics .... sports training, competition, leadership opportunities and health screenings to more than 25,000 athletes across the state.
