The Chocolate Wonder: Chocolate Cupcake With Chocolate-Covered Pretzels

Cake Recipe Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup softened salted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup melted chocolate
    Preparation:
  1. Cream butter & sugar
  2. Add eggs and vanilla to creamed mix
  3. In a seperate bowl mix flour, cocoa, baking soda & salt
  4. Add dr mix to creamed mix & aternate with adding milk & water
  5. Add melted chocolate
  6. Put in greased cupcake trays.  Bake at 375 degrees for 15 - 20 minutes. Let cool before removing from tray & icing.
Icing Recipe Ingredients:
  • 1 Cup softened salted butter
  • 3 Cups confectionary sugar
  • 1/2 Cup cocoa
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 4 tbs half & half or milk
Preparation:
  1. Cream butter to soften
  2. Add rest of ingredients (add more half & half if you want less thick)
Pretzel
  • Crush pretzel rods into small bite size pieces
  • Melt chocolate and mix with pretzel pieces
  • Use more or less depending on size
  • Let cool in fridge to harden
