ScarletReport.com reports that LeGrand was a junior at the time of his injury and had to withdraw from classes. He was 60 credits short of graduation and a degree. He took only a few classes as he continued his recovery and earned his final credits in the past 6 weeks.

“It feels great,” LeGrand told the website. “It’s been a journey."

LeGrand is working for IMG College as a broadcast analyst and has also been on Rutgers radio broadcasts.  He also promotes his own foundation, Team LeGrand, which is affiliated with the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, seeking a cure for paralysis.

LeGrand has offered support for other athletes who have have become paralyzed or severely injured, including Tulane player Devon Walker who was paralyzed in 2012 and injured Monroe High School hockey player Michael Nichols.
