The Harvey Cedars Beach Patrol had quite the find on Wednesday after an Atlantic Sturgeon washed up on the Bergen Avenue beach.

These type of fish are considered an endangered species and can grow up to be 16-feet long, 800 pounds and 60-years old, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

The beach patrol alerted the NJ DEP about their discovery.

"Never know what you may find washed up at the beach!", Harvey Cedars Beach Patrol said on Facebook.
