Since The King of Rock N' Roll's death in 1977, rumors have persisted about a secret life of Elvis Presley. With sightings from Vegas to Michigan and dozens of places in between, who'd think that The King would show up at the Jersey shore?

Seaside Heights Police Chief Thomas Boyd told WOBM about how he was driving through town over the weekend, when he suddenly saw the face of Elvis. Literally.

And thankfully, Chief Boyd took a photo:

The mystery around what we'll henceforth refer to as "Sand Elvis" is murky. Nobody has officially come forward to claim responsibility for what is, honestly, an impressive work of sand art. And chances are, the tides may have washed the King away rather quickly.

But it's another example of what we all love about the shore - if nothing else, we're a unique bunch!
