DWI Checkpoints being set up in Egg Harbor Township Friday August 4th

Plan ahead now for your night out Friday August 4 and be sure it doesn't include drinking and driving as police in Egg Harbor Township will be setting up DWI checkpoints.

The checkpoint, August 4, will be setup in the Atlantic County Township between 9 pm Friday night and 3 am Saturday morning.

Police hope that with this checkpoint being set up it'll increase the awareness on the dangers drinking or doing drugs and then driving while impaired which can result in fatal consequences.

"We will have zero tolerance for motorists who decide to drive while under the influence of alcohol or drugs," said Egg Harbor Township Police in a statement.
