A service for Friedland took place at Beth Am Shalom on Route 70 in Lakewood on Wednesday morning. A large police presence was in place to insure the family's privacy according to the Asbury Park Press.

Friedland's wife Jamie was among several family members and friends who spoke at the service. "I'm truly the luckiest person in the world. I still believe that because I married the best man in the entire world," she told the service according to the Star Ledger.

The funeral procession caused some delays on Route 70 westbound between the Garden State Parkway and New Hampshire Avenue.

Investigation Continues

Meanwhile, the reward for information leading to the arrest of the two suspects in the Sunday night shooting stands at $41,000 as Essex County CrimeStoppers doubles its reward to $20,000, according to the Star-Ledger and the Morris County Sheriff's CrimeStoppers program added $1,000. The Taubman Company, owners of the Mall at Short Hills, contributed $20,000 on Tuesday.

Investigators are hoping forensic results from swabs taken from inside Friedland's stolen Range Rover will help identify possible suspects, as witnesses have not been able to offer substantial details describing the suspects according to the Star-Ledger.

Surveillance video shows the suspects entering the parking deck in a green Subaru and then leaving separately in the Subaru and the Range Rover. A camera on the side of the building near where the Rover was found was not working.

The Toms River North girls swim team remembered Friedland with a moment of silence before last night's meet with Toms River East in honor of the North grad from the Class of 2002.
