Ducklings rescued in Neptune

A distressed mother duck caught the attention of some Neptune Township neighbors, who alerted authorities about ducklings being stuck in a storm drain pipe at the corner of Highland Avenue and Valley Road Sunday afternoon, according to police.

All 11 ducklings were safely rescued using nets thanks to help from the police, the Neptune Department of Public Works and the Humane Society, according to the Police Department's Facebook page.
