Installation of mains under Little Egg Harbor Boulevard curtailed service to homes on that street, as well as on Flamingo and Curlew Roads. It's part of a larger project of improvements in the Tuckerton Beach service area, according to Randy Bailey in the Water and Sewer Department.

Bailey said that once water resumes flowing, affected home owners need not boil it before using it. However, air or discoloration is likely to appear.

To flush the system, just run cold water from all fixtures until water runs clearly and without interruption.
