Driver Arrested After Striking Two Children in Lakewood [VIDEO]

Lakewood police have arrested a hit-and-run driver who fled on foot after allegedly striking two children riding bikes.

According to The Lakewood Scoop, the unidentified driver was arrested near his home. He suffered an arm injury in the accident after losing control of his mini van, driving through the South Lake Drive Bike Path and hitting two children on bicycles round 11 Sunday morning,

One of the victims was pinned under the vehicle; a first responder said the boy managed to climb out.

Lakewood’s Traffic & Safety division and CIU are investigating the incident.
