A Whiting woman passes away after her gray 2005 Honda CRV veered off the road and hit a tree on Lacey road Saturday Night.

Manchester Township police say 49-year old Lori Dubielak was wearing a seat-belt at the time of the collision which remains under investigation.

Police responded to the area of Lacey Road and Lake Road around 6:33 pm where life-saving measures were also performed but sadly became unsuccessful following a trip to Community Medical Center.

Investigators have determined so far that she was heading west on Lacey Road at the time and the airbag did deploy but it's still unclear what caused Lori to veer off-road.

Her car had extensive front-end damage from hitting the tree.

This crash is being investigated by Patrolman Ian Bole of the department's Traffic Safety Unit.

Assisting at the scene were members of the Whiting Volunteer Fire Company, EMTs from Quality Medical Transport and paramedics from MONOC.

Also assisting were detectives from the Ocean County Sheriff's Office, Crime Scene Investigations Unit and the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office.
