State-regulated lab testing indicate that the quality's back up to par, according to Mayor Paul Kennedy, who notified WOBM late this afternoon that he removed the boil advisory.

Water pressure mysteriously and precipitously dropped early Thursday, prompting the original notification. According to the Mayor, equipment in the treatment facility was upgraded late Wednesday, but wells were not reopened.

Add to that some hydrant-flushing, and the supplies dwindled quickly, he said. Water was deemed safe for washing purposes Thursday, but the precautions for drinking stayed for the standard 24 hours.
