Dragnet spreads for Mount Holly bank thief
The holdup artist who made off with cash from a TD Bank in Mount Holly Tuesday remains outside the grip of the law, and the search is now spreading across county lines.
Police say that the report of the heist at the branch on Route 541 reached them at about 3:15 PM Tuesday.
Investigators pieced together a description of a black male clad in a baseball cap, sunglasses and a long-sleeved, blue, dress shirt.
They offered no indication of approximate weight, height, build or distingushing marks, or how many workers and patrons were in the building at the time.
There is no indication of a weapon, but police said the suspect handed a note to the teller, was given cash in U.S. currency, and took off on foot toward the rear of the building.
If you recognize the suspect in the surveillance image or can contribute information leading to the suspect's arrest and conviction, reach Mount Holly Police at 609-845-1100, extension 111.
