I happened to see a quick segment on the Today Show that really bothered me.  But it also made me feel great.  Let me explain.

The show posted a series of photos which made my skin crawl.  Then they explained that people who get uncomfortable have an actual condition called Trypophobia:  fear of clustered holes.  I have it!  And I never knew it until this week! Though I know it seems weird, I feel some sense of relief knowing I'm not alone.  15% of the population gets creeped out by honeycombs, seed pods, and even crumpets!  As beautiful as sunflowers are, I have to admit that I hate the way the center of the flower looks.  It triggers the Trypophobia.

Do you have a similar reaction to clusters of holes and bumps?  Here's a link to the Today Show video.

And if you'd like to know more, and connect with a community of about 10,000 others who get the willies when seeing such images, here's the link to the Facebook page.  https://www.facebook.com/pages/Trypophobia/416048458423071
