Do You Scream for Strawberry Ice Cream

It's National Strawberry Ice Cream Day!  It's crazy but it is. Even if it's not one of your favorites, let's celebrate this pink treat!

It is made by blending in fresh strawberry flavoring or fresh strawberries.

Strawberry ice cream dates back at least to 1813, when it was served at the second inauguration of James Madison.

I'm not a fan of strawberry ice cream.  When there is Neapolitan - chocolate, vanilla and strawberry--I'll always eat the chocolate and vanilla first and sometimes leave the strawberry behind.
