Do You Agree With These Ocean County Safety Rankings?

Not that long ago, Brick was known as "The Safest Small City in America". But, according to a new report, it ranks far down the list these days, with a number of other Ocean County townships coming in much higher on the list.

According to website Value Penguin, the safest town in Ocean County is Pine Beach (#72 on the list) and the most dangerous is Seaside Heights (#467).

Toms River is pretty much in the bottom half of the middle (#342) and Lakewood (#215) scored higher than Brick (#264), Mantoloking (way near the bottom, at #450), and even Point Pleasant Beach (#378).

The report uses the 2013 FBI Unified Crime Report with data on everything from violent crimes to property crime.
