As we get closer and closer to Halloween, we're also getting closer to that tense evening the night before: Mischief Night.

I never realized, until I worked in Central Pennsylvania, that Mischief Night is a mostly Northeast tradition. When I first asked a co-worker how things were around there on Mischief Night, they had no idea what I was talking about.

Where I grew up in Middlesex County, it was usually harmless fun - the occasional toilet papered tree or shrubbery. Maybe the occasional egging was as criminal as things got, but it never got out of control.
