Did a Sea Monster Wash Up in New Zealand?

The recent spate of “monster” sightings on beaches around the world continued recently with this toothy creature that washed up on a New Zealand beach.

Earlier this year we had the story of a creature that looked more like something out of a sci-fi movie fished out of waters right here in The Garden State (it turned out to just be a really big eel).

And, of course there’s the famous Montauk Monster that was discovered on a Long Island beach a few years ago.

So now do we have the New Zealand Beast? Experts say no. Although it looks like a never before seen creature from the depths, apparently it’s just a decomposed Orca whale carcass.

Either way, I sure wouldn’t want to run into it on a summer swim at the beach!
