A woman who is nine months pregnant and the driver of the car she was in are air lifted to Jersey Shore University Medical Center Tuesday afternoon shortly before 4:00 pm for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Manchester Police say the 2011 Land Rover was heading west along Horicon Road when it hit a deer crossing the road.

After the collision with the deer, the Land Rover then swerved left to get out of the way, crossed the centerline and ended up leaving the roadway and striking a pine tree.

Both occupants of the vehicle were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.

The driver, 43-year-old, Kimberly Doman of Millstone, was semi-conscious and was reporting head and neck injuries.

Her front seat passenger, 24-year-old, Atiana Doman, who "was" 9 months pregnant, reported having hip and pelvis pain.

Both women were transported by Quality Medical Transport to Bowker Field in Whiting where they were then air lifted to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

As of the time of this release, Atiana Doman has been treated and released.

Police say that both the mother and unborn child are doing ok.

The condition of the unborn child and if there is any relation between the driver and passenger has not yet been released by police.

This crash is being investigated by Sergeant Antonio Ellis of the department's Traffic Safety Unit.
