Deer Breaks into Neptune Jewelry Store
A deer smashed through the window of the Snow Gold Jewelry Store in Neptune, forcing two workers inside to lock themselves in a bathroom and call police.
Surveillance footage caught the deer frantically leaping around the store and splattering blood until eventually jumping out of a window, according to the Asbury Park Press.
The deer broke two large windows, bent a lamp and broke two chairs.
23-year-old Taquasia Walker was minding the store while her mother, the manager was away. Her best friend, 23-year-old Mecca Creel also was in the store.
They told the Asbury Park Press it was quiet Thursday afternoon at the store, until around 2:15 p.m., when the glass window shattered and the deer nearly came nose-to-nose with Creel.
The women were shaken up, but uninjured.
