Gerald J. Moors faces one third-degree count, according to the office of County Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato, whose High Tech Crime Unit investigators partnered with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations and Beachwood Police.

A referral from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, of a download in Ocean County of preteens committing sex acts, sparked the investigation, authorities said. Detectives developed sufficient information to obtain a search warrant.

The Prosecutor's office did not elaborate on the presence of Homeland Security investigators, or on the number and types of digital equipment that was search and/or seized.

Moors was apprehended Wednesday and was moved to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River until his first court appearance.

Charges are accusations. Defendants are presumed innocent unless, and until, found guilty in a court of law.
