According to the Asbury Park Press, officials from Point Pleasant Beach, Point Pleasant Borough, Mantoloking and Bay Head will be meeting with state officials in Trenton Thursday to discuss the project. They're concerned that beginning and running the project through the summer will create a traffic nightmare and hurt tourism In towns already struggling to recover from Sandy.

In an earlier WOBM report a State DOT spokesman said the construction was designed to keep traffic off local roads and will be done in small segments at a time to allow for alternating traffic.
