Back in the fall I told you about the construction activity that had taken over 73 Main Street in Toms River.

And now, downtown's newest restaurant, Crave, has just opened and is serving up their specials.

The prime spot on the corner of Main Street and Washington Street has been a number of restaurants in the last few years, most recently Island Creole Kitchen.

I stopped by back in October and chatted with one of the workers, who told me that there was still a good deal of work to be done to get the restaurant ready, and that they'd be offering traditional American fare like breakfast, burgers, and sandwiches.

I pass by every night on my way out of the office and I always take a peek for signs of activity.

Well, at the end of last week, I saw an OPEN sign show up in the window.

And today, a page has shown up on Facebook with photos and the announcement that Crave is open for business.

Crave is just the latest in a flurry of new businesses opening on Main Street, with Morocco Local Grill opening last November, and the Hops on Main brewery currently under construction.
