Crash in Brick Township Injures Colts Neck Man

A Colts Neck man survived with minor injuries after a horrific crash on Route 70 in a busy business section of Brick Township Tuesday.

The 2003 Volkswagen Jetta driven by Anthony Cutolo, 39, veered off course as he headed west on the highway near Brick Boulevard, slamming and snapping a utility pole near the former Foodtown site around 10:30 AM, police said.

Cutolo's car had developed mechanical trouble, causing him to lose control of its path, police said. The car overturned on impact. Wires that landed on the highway forced police to keep it blocked in the area for about an hour and a half.

Cutolo was given hospital treatment, police said.
