'Glee' star Cory Monteith tragically passed away on July 13, but his exact cause of death is still yet to be determined. The 31-year-old actor was found dead in his hotel room in Vancouver, Canada, early Saturday morning, leaving his family, friends, colleagues and fans shocked and devastated.

With his death being so sudden and so many questions left unanswered -- Monteith was reportedly looking happy and healthy days prior to his death -- people are anxious to find out what exactly happened in his hotel room that night. In turn, a source at the Vancouver Police Dept. spoke to E! News, and said that Monteith's autopsy will be sped up due to "public interest."

"Due to the intense public interest, the toxicology will be expedited," the source said before adding that the results of the autopsy are expected to arrive in the next "2 or 3 days." Coroner Barb Barb McLintock also told Sun News, "Given the particular high-profile nature of this case, once that decision's made, we're going to try to get it done as soon as possible."

While Monteith, who rose to fame as Finn Hudson on the hit FOX series, had been open about his struggles with substance abuse in the past, he had never gotten into specifics. He had recently attended a rehab program, and was reportedly looking his best in a long time just hours before he was found dead after missing his check out at the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel.

Foul play has been ruled out, and police are not disclosing the items found in Monteith's room.

A FOX rep released a statement after the death of the 'Glee' star, who was dating co-star Lea Michele in real life:

"We are deeply saddened by this tragic news. Cory was an exceptional talent and an even more exceptional person. He was a true joy to work with and we will all miss him tremendously.  Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones."
