With the epic heat and humidity that we've been dealing with the last few days, it's the perfect opening weekend for a new water play area in Ocean County!

Just yesterday, Six Flags Great Adventure's Hurricane Harbor held the grand opening of "Caribbean Cove".

Park president John Fitzgerald said that, "Hurricane Harbor brings the vibrant colors, iconic images and white sand beaches of the Caribbean to our new family water playground."

The family play area has a number of interactive water features like fountains, spouts, jets, water guns, and of course the giant bucket that you see in the photo above. When the bucket fills up, get ready to be splashed!

There's also a sand beach area with over 300 lounge chairs for parents to relax on while the kids splash away.

Caribbean Cove is open now at Six Flags Great Adventure's Hurricane Harbor!
