Construction worker falls from ladder at Jackson site
A worker on the crew building the Gardens at Jackson Twenty-One complex is hospitalized after falling 15 feet from his perch on a roof-level ladder, according to township police.
Isidro Vazquez, 37, of Elizabeth, lost his footing when the ladder moved, police said. He sustained multiple leg fractures and was flown to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune.
The incident is being examined by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
Assisting police at the site off West Commodore Boulevard were Jackson Fire Company Stations 54 and 55, Quality First Aid and Monoc paramedics.
