What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us; what we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal. ~ Albert Pike

I am honored to be on the Board of Directors of several organizations, including Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey. Wednesday night I was part of a "Board" retreat in which we basically went back to school to hopefully learn how to be a better organization. I found it very informative, but one thing that stuck out to me was the "community" involvement. Members come from various sectors of the Ocean County community ... showing how strength within our community keeps us a great place to live. It inspires you to help when and how you can in our "village" ..... Do you volunteer in any local organizations ?

Let me introduce you to CVCJ if your not familiar... Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey (Caregiver Canines) a group which helps our elderly remain independent and at home, by helping with common everyday life events which become harder as we get older .... like shopping, driving, doctors visits and companionship. Their "volunteers" help these Seniors enjoy the life that they are used to.

Here's How YOU Can Help CVCJ

  • Become a volunteer
  • Make a monetary donation
  • Donate office supplies (Including a need for computers)
  • Attend one of their various fundraisers

Call 732-505-2273

As I mentioned earlier I belong to many organizations and they are all impressive members of our community. During the course of the year I try to bring these groups to you on the air and on the web .... so keep tuned and we'll introduce you to other fantastic groups in the weeks and months to come. It's all part of why we are your HOMETOWN STATION.
