A party I hosted yesterday was billed as a "Comfort Food Pot Luck."  I served two main entrees: beef stew in one crock pot and mac and cheese made in another crock pot.

I must say both dishes were tasty and relatively easy to make.  I had to spend some time in the morning peeling a few potatoes and browning the stew meat, but then it's a cup of this, a touch of that, mix it all together in the crock and viola!  By the time the guests arrived, the meal was ready to serve.  As a bonus, it made the house smell great!

Yesterday was the first time I ever tried making macaroni and cheese in a slow cooker.  That was even easier!  Shredded cheddar cheese, cheese soup, some evaporated milk, butter, and eggs blended together to make a creamy and delicious meal.

Now that I've had success with two crock pot recipes, I want to do more with the slow cooker.  What meals do you like to make in the crock pot?  Please share in the comments section below.
