It's about to get crazy, cold here in Ocean County for the next couple of days.

Emergency Management in Ocean County has issued a Code Blue Alert.

Code Blue Alert means warming centers will be open for the homeless to stay warm during dangerous conditions. Temperatures are dangerously dropping within the next couple of hours and continuing for the next couple of days.

According to the patch.com Code Blue is in effect through Sunday February 3rd, 2018.

Here are a couple of the warming centers in Ocean County and the times they will be accessible:

Riverwood Park Recreation Center, Toms River
Riverwood Drive (off Whitesville Road)

  • Tuesday, Jan. 29 – 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 a.m.
  • Wednesday, Jan. 30 – 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 a.m.
  • Thursday, Jan. 31 – 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 a.m.
  • Friday, Feb. 1 – 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 a.m.
  • Saturday, Feb. 2 – 4 p.m. to 9 a.m.

Lakewood Community Center, Lakewood
4th Street

  • Tuesday, Jan. 29 – 9 p.m. to 9 a.m.
  • Wednesday, Jan. 30 – 9 p.m. to 9 a.m.
  • Thursday, Jan. 31 – 9 p.m. to 9 a.m.
  • Friday, Feb. 1 – 9 p.m. to 9 a.m.
  • Saturday, Feb. 2 – 9 p.m. to 9 a.m.
