Coast Guard Medevacs Man From Fishing Vessel 60 Miles Ocean City
The Coast Guard airlifted a man requiring medical assistance from a fishing vessel 60 miles off the coast of Ocean City Saturday night.
People aboard the fishing vessel Atlantic Warrior, contacted the Coast Guard reporting that an unidentified 42-year-old-man was experiencing pain and needed medical attention.
The Coast Guard dispatched rescue teams from Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City Coast Guard Air Station Elizabeth City, N.C., to assist.
A helicopter crew lowered a rescue swimmer to the deck of the fishing vessel and hoisted the man in the helicopter , which took the man to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center. The 42-year-old man's medical condition has not been released.
