Christie May Not Need To Babysit Prince Harry [VIDEO]

Buckingham Palace may not be taking up Governor Christie's offer to watch Prince Harry on his visit to New Jersey in May.

Nick Loughran, the assistant press secretary to Prince Harry and his brother William, Duke of Cambridge, only said “No further comments from me I’m afraid" when asked by TPM.com about Christie's offer to keep an eye on the 28-year-old made during this week's Ask the Governor.

Prince Harry will visit "an area badly affected by Hurricane Sandy" on May 14 according to his official schedule but does not name a specific location.

During Prince Harry's last visit to the United States he was caught frolicking in the nude with a woman in Las Vegas after an alleged game of strip billiards, something that won't happen on the Governor's watch.

“I am going to spend the entire day with Prince Harry. Believe me, no one is going to be getting naked,” laughed Christie, who said he is “thrilled” Prince Harry wants to come see the destruction from the October storm first-hand.

The governor noted that he has met Queen Elizabeth II and “she knows that she can trust her beloved grandson with the governor of the state of New Jersey.”

According to a press release, Prince Harry's itinerary also includes

• Washington, DC: an exhibition on Capitol Hill on landmine clearance and the British Ambassador’s Reception. Also, Arlington National Cemetery and the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center
• Denver: The Consul-General’s Reception
• Colorado Springs: several events at the 2013 Warrior Games
• New York City: an event to promote the GREAT campaign, a community baseball programme involving a new partnership with the Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry, a Royal Foundation fundraising event
• Connecticut: the Sentebale Royal Salute Polo Cup in Greenwich.
